The Precious Taste - Specially Dedicated to Shu-Yin.
Yesterday evening when I was on IM chatting with my cousin, Shu-Yin, I’ve received this ‘welcome message’ from her:
“Wei faster update your blog, I got nothing to read already.”
@.@
Eh miss, I think you have been having way too much time. lol. Anyway, I couldn’t think of much to blog about so I just ignored her. Btw I used to ‘bully’ her when we were kids. LOL. You remember that, missy? Hehe, we really had a lot of fun playing ‘masak-masak’.
So to show how much I appreciate my lovely (uerk…) cousin, I’m dedicating this entry to her. Some time last month she wrote an entry on this Precious Taste Restaurant that my brother has been recommending many times. Finally last weekend, when my grandma was here for a short trip, we went there for some precious taste.
We were the only customers when we arrived. And then more people came in after us. The waiter and waitress were very friendly and helpful in terms of helping us to make decisions on food. We settled with four main dishes, a soup and two side dishes.
The way they served the dishes, though, was not very professional. I was expecting the side dishes to arrive first so we can have some bites, but they served us with one vege and one side dish first.
The ‘kailan’ on the right was rather special. There were deep fried ones on top of the ordinary fried ones.
‘Siu Long Pao’. Not the ‘bestest’ taste but above average. At that price (RM8, if I’m not mistaken), I really don’t mind eating more.
‘Chi Chai’ soup.
Salted fish with pork belly. I’m not a fan of this dish but my parents like it.
Mango chicken. I like this!
And then the waiter was recommending us some fresh crabs. Being a seafood die-hard lover, of course I said yes yes and yes.
It was a bit too spicy for me, but nevertheless, it was fresh.
My brother and sis-in-law came a bit late, after they’ve closed their shop. My brother ordered another two dishes, prawns and ‘Koo Lou Yok’ (sweet and sour pork), both yummy but I was already too lazy to snap photos.
I couldn’t snap a nice photo of the restaurant, so I have to ’steal’ this from Shu-Yin.
The place is just right opposite the Public Mutual building in Pulau Tikus. Here is a Google Map that I did for the first time, special thanks to my all-time WP ’sifu’ Satkuru.
One thing to take note about the place is that, funny-ly, all their dishes come in one size only. Meaning, there is no small, medium, or big to choose from. The price range is around RM8-RM12, quite reasonable for the portion, I’d say.
