It’s Always Easier to Give Up.

You know, sometimes one can get very tired on something. I’m referring to something like an issue that seems to be never-ending, despite of all the hardwork, talk, trying to be understanding, etc..

You know, like the classic drama of an innocent girl who fell in love with a boy who refuse to grow up. How much longer can the girl convince herself to continue holding on a promise and commitment that couldn’t seem to be fulfilled? Of course, this is just something that I made up to describe the situation.

You know, it’s just always easier to give up than to hold on. Like walking through the endless dark tunnel. Should I declare myself defeated and die in the middle of the tunnel or continue walking until I see the first light (if there is any)?

If you are still able to walk, then walk without giving up.
If you are still able to crawl, then crawl without giving up.
You won’t know what’s in front until you have reach to the last breath of your life. :)

*hugs* No pain no gain. That said, you need to step back and make an objective assessment. Sometimes, it really is a case of knowing when to cut losses. No point in kidding yourself and suffering just for the sake of soldiering on endlessly.

Henrick and mh: Thank you for the kind words. :)

I’ve made a choice to trust again and see with my own eyes for now. Really, sometimes I really do need something to convince myself so I could continue to believe. Verbally or through action. Sometimes it does feel like having nothing to hold on.

Cut losses or gain through the pain? We’ll see…
