Xiao Bi received an invitation last week. An invitation from her boy-friend, Bobby’s owner. He invited her to spend some time with Bobby in his garden, so they could wrestle and play off leash!
This is so so so so so cool! I’ve always been dreaming about Xiao Bi being able to play with Bobby (or other dogs) off leash. Since she likes Bobby, they could just be the next perfect couple. :)
We dropped by yesterday evening but I forgot to bring along the camera. The dogs were certainly happy with the arrangement that they kept running in and out of the house. Bobby was leading and Xiao Bi was following most of the time.
Since today is a public holiday, I brought Xiao Bi out again in the evening and went to Bobby’s place. This time around, I snapped a few photos with my camera phone. :)
The one standing is Xiao Bi and the other is Bobby. See how loving they can be. :)
They couldn’t stop pretending to drink and play with the water. :)
And here is a little video clip of them. Not very clear since it was recorded with my camera phone.
We are planning for a trip to the beach some time at the end of the week. We’ve also invited Bobby. It would certainly be great if they could go together. :)
When everyone is working harder to earn more during this global economic down time, someone has been fighting, just to live.
About a year or two ago, my mum told me about a cousin of mine being diagnosed with a rare cancer, Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma. Well, he is actually the son of my mother’s cousin. Mum updated us with his condition from time to time. Things got worse during the recent few months. The cancer struck back and he lost his right eye during a recent operation.
And that’s not the end of it. To undergo proton therapy as suggested by his doctors, he has to go to either China, Korea, or Japan as these are the only few countries equipped with this medical technology. The total cost of medical expenses goes up to RM120,000.
So the thing is, this is not a small amount of money. He has been on the newspaper appealing to the public for donation. You may read the articles here and here for more info.

I’ve been so extremely busy with work for the past one week that not only I didn’t feel like blogging, I was so lazy to blog hop at the same time, especially after my little UPDATED feature is gone. Sigh.
I do have plenty of photos to edit and post up for a few entries. But I don’t think I’ll have the time over the weekend either. There is a company hiking scheduled tomorrow, either up to Pantai Kerachut (again!) or Monkey Beach. That means I’ll have to finish my work today so I could hike and then come back and sleep for the rest of the day. :D
Oh btw, my forever rebellious GR, Xiao Bi, got an invitiation to her bf’s place to play for an evening. Hehe. See, even dogs could get invitations. :) I’m hoping we could bring her over tomorrow, and I’ll try to snap some photos or videos. It’s so much fun seeing two of them wrestling. :)
I have been thinking a lot about Gobi lately. Gobi was my first GR, and she was Xiao Bi’s sister. Different batch with different dad, but same mum.
She was a legendary dog. She was very friendly, and every single neighbour loved her. She behaved so well that you never had to worry about her. She didn’t whine or cry even on the first night she joined us. She made no nonsense when she was left alone in our new house. She never bit a single slipper. She exercised twice with the old Snow White and Snow White, although barking, just loved her. She was just, the perfect dog.
The thing is, she died when she was about 6 months old, out of a sudden and unknown disease. Vomit, extremely high fever, ‘tarik‘. I still remember the night she was so sick and it was raining so heavily. I was accompanying her in the living room, hoping that she would recover. She still wanted to play and was still friendly enough to wag her tail when she saw anyone. It was such a pain.
It’s about 1.5 years since she left, and I could still remember the way she wagged her tail and ran to me. I could have posted some of her photos here as a proof of her beauty but I still couldn’t bear the pain seeing her photos.
I hope she is now all well in dog heaven. I miss you.
