My Dog Diary

I’ve been pushing a little bit more on my work in progress and I’m really happy to say that things are working out quite well. Of course I’m hoping for more and more sales but oh well, they will come.

Last weekend Xiao Bi got the chance to play and socialise with another two new friends. They are from Bobby’s owner’s sister. They spent about two days living with Bobby and boy I tell you, everyone of them was happy - well, except the youngest and smallest one, Maya. She kept being ‘bullied’! lol.

Too bad darl wasn’t available for the two days so couldn’t help me to take some photos or videos or them. I really enjoyed seeing them playing and fooling around. And almost everytime when everyone was already tired and flat, Xiao Bi was the only one still walking around asking to play. Sigh sigh. The hyperactive dog.

And then yesterday Bobby got a new partner at home. A 3-yr old Golden Retriever name Honey. Honey is not at her tip-top condition. She has scars on her face from scratching and she seems to be a bit too thin and weak for a GR. Will need to be monitored for a few weeks or even month and see how she can improve. But she is beautiful! So hopefully in a few more weeks, three of them can gather and play.

Since Xiao Bi is getting a lot more stable, I’m also slowly introducing her to the family - well, more like re-introducing her. I’m slowly letting her staying around with the family, without her jumping up and down and running here and there, with the potential of knocking down the old and the young. It’s been great!

P/S: Someone was asking me if I could do her a red+white basic upcycled long purse from banner when I first introduced the long purse in my blog. I can’t remember who but if you are reading this, try looking at the widget on the side, I’ve just added a red+white version of it. And the best part is, it’s a softer type of banner, much like a soft leather, and seriously, I’m loving this one.

We didn’t make it to the beach last Sunday due to darl’s old injury on his knee. So despite my packed and tight schedule, we decided to make a trip this Sunday evening. It rained a little when we were about to leave and I thought we had to postpone again this time. But it stopped after a while. Weird weather nowadays. :/

We stopped by Bobby’s place to see if they would like to join. Bobby’s owner agreed and we all headed to the beach in darl’s car, and I had to squeeze myself with two huge dogs at the back seat. lol.

Upon arriving at the beach, the dogs couldn’t resist to sniff around, as usual. We were greeted by a black beach dog, who, couldn’t resist barking at us, in his case. Xiao Bi didn’t bother too much, and walked towards the beach. Bobby on the other hand, was a bit erm… ‘reserved’.

Darl brought Xiao Bi down into the water after walking around. Bobby refused to go and just keep himself on the beach!

And meanwhile, the black dog was still barking, barking, and barking…

And here is Bobby refusing to go near the water. I think it was probably because it’s his first time to this beach and after so long since he went to his regular beach, so he was kinda not used to the whole idea.

While Xiao Bi on the other hand, had a great time swimming and running along the beach. Darl said Xiao Bi was actually whining when she was swimming but she still, wanted to swim.

Bobby went greeting Xiao Bi back. lol. That’s the nearest that he would go to the water. A wave came and he just ran away!

It rained again after like a good 30 minutes of fun time, and off we had to leave. Next time, Bobby.

… and dirty. And happy.

You probably can’t see very clearly in the photo, but the legs, paws, and the stomach area of Xiao Bi’s body are totally dirty. Totally. She had a good time digging holes in the garden and went sleeping her way to heaven this morning.

My dad is going to yell. Sigh.

Xiao Bi received an invitation last week. An invitation from her boy-friend, Bobby’s owner. He invited her to spend some time with Bobby in his garden, so they could wrestle and play off leash!

This is so so so so so cool! I’ve always been dreaming about Xiao Bi being able to play with Bobby (or other dogs) off leash. Since she likes Bobby, they could just be the next perfect couple.

We dropped by yesterday evening but I forgot to bring along the camera. The dogs were certainly happy with the arrangement that they kept running in and out of the house. Bobby was leading and Xiao Bi was following most of the time.

Since today is a public holiday, I brought Xiao Bi out again in the evening and went to Bobby’s place. This time around, I snapped a few photos with my camera phone.

We are planning for a trip to the beach some time at the end of the week. We’ve also invited Bobby. It would certainly be great if they could go together.

Life has been busy… and sick. So many things to do, so little body energy to handle. Sigh.

I’m working on making my own mold for the jewelry. There are some limitations but I love it. I just need to get myself away more to inhale lesser smell from the mold that makes me sick. @.@

Anyway, just a quick update. Xiao Bi has been improving bit by bit (as usual). And work wise, two of our t-shirts are flying to Hong Kong next week! I hope the new owner will love them.

I’ll try to post up some photos of Xiao Bi some time soon. Haven’t been snapping pretty photos of hers. She just isn’t a cooperative model. lol.
