Where Good Life Begins.

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

Sometime last month DARL came back excitedly after meeting a friend, telling me that the sister and brother-in-law of his friend is having a cafe with home-brewed coffee in Penang. I know it’s one of DARL’s dream to have a cafe like this. But instead of having one ourselves, this time around the sister and brother-in-law hooked up with us to print them some t-shirts for their new business. Yay! :D

It was rather a rush work, as all the t-shirts needed to be ordered separately. While waiting for the blank t-shirts to arrive, we spent some time preparing and testing the stencils. We’ve made plenty of mistakes, plenty of carelessness, and learned a good deal of lessons and experiences. It was, after all, all worth it. :)

The cafe’s name is Sitigun. It’s situated at the Nagore’s Place, near the New World Park.

And I so LOVE their slogan/tag line: where good life begins.

After more than one whole week of hard work, we’ve finally got all packed and ready for delivery.

There are now under their soft launching period and will officially open on this Friday, 6 June 08. Me and DARL are both invited to their opening. I’ll blog more about it at Listen so stay tuned! :)

Loaded Up!

Wednesday, May 14th, 2008

There is something good in the air. *wink wink*

Thanks to all the support and all the hard work, NottyPooch Design is taking potentially four commissioned T projects this month! Yes, FOUR! :)

While some may not be entirely depending on our creativity (ahem), but we see all these as a chance for us to explore more possibilities and to load ourselves up with some sales. All is still in the middle of discussion but we hope everything will be on track soon! :D

I’ll update this blog as soon as I have spare time. I’ll showcase more products as soon as I can. We have another new home accessories lining up so stay tuned! ;)

*******************************

And for some updates on Xiao Bi. I noticed that she has been having some sort of flaky-sand-coloured thing in her ear canal. It smells a bit. She scratches at times, but not like very often. I wonder if anyone knows what is it (or is it ear mites?) or has any natural remedy for this? Still, I prefer natural ones. :) Leave me a comment here if you know of any.

Many thanks in advance. :)

Another Commissioned-T and More Magnets!

Thursday, May 8th, 2008

We’ve got another commissioned-T worked out - well this wasn’t exactly a business, simply because it was ‘commissioned’ by my family! lol

Anyway, since it’s from our family, guess who would be the best model? My niece a.k.a the princess, of course. ;)

My aunt ordered this piece and she’ll be here to collect anytime this week. That’s our little angel on the t-shirt. :)

On the side note, continuing from yesterday’s post, we have two new sets of magnets lining up. All from recycled bottle cap - yaya the one from the beer bottle that you are drinking. :D

Bottle Cap Magnet #1 - Camouflage

Bottle Cap Magnet #2 - Blue Abstract

All bottle caps are cleaned and sealed with sealant before hand-crafted by local artist. The 15mm magnet is carefully embedded into each piece hence you won’t be able to see it from the outside. But nevertheless, this Ultra Strong Magnet (similar to rare earth magnet)t lets you hold up to 5 pieces of A4 paper at once.

Magnets In, Magnets Out.

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

While we’ve had several new items listed on our website and eBay, I’m starting to get lazy to update our latest products here. LOL.

Anyway, just a quick update here on the latest one. (Note: The not-so-latest ones are on our website. Check them out when you have time! :))

These are fridge magnets - which, of course, you may use them to help you get organised in the office. :) Each set comes with 4 magnets. All handmade and crafted by local artist, using glass marble. Each marble is backed with a 10 mm Ultra Strong Magnet (similar to rare earth magnet), which may hold up to 5 pieces of A4 paper.

Each glass marble measures approximately 1.5 cm - 2 cm

Each and every piece of glass marble is unique. Colours may vary from one monitor to another. There might be mild imperfections on the marbles (bubbles, etc.) but that’s the uniqueness. Nevertheless, we try our best to use only those in good condition. All priced at RM8 per set, excluding shipping and handling. (OMG I sound like a salesperson! :D )

Up to date, the 2nd set is already sold. The 3rd set is my personal favourite! :D

This is how your magnet looks like from the side.

Here is one of the magnets in action. Holding exactly 5 pieces of A4 paper on the fridge! :D

Caution: Do not intend to pull your magnets apart if they are attracted to each other, as the magnets may be too strong and may spoil the image/pattern attached to the glass marble. Slide both magnet to the sides (one to left, another to the right) to get them apart.

All the Buzy Buzzy Work.

Saturday, April 19th, 2008

This week is considered a hectic week for me. As mentioned in the previous post, I’ve been working on listing on international sites, as well as the current ones. At the same time, sales and orders came pouring in - which of course, I really LOVE it! ;)

I was talking to DARL the other day and I realised how many things I am currently taking care of. From designing to purchasing, from account to customer service. No wonder it’s hectic. But I guess the most important thing for me is, how our customers feel dealing with us.

Over the week, there were plenty of customers who replied to us, either telling us about our service, or our products. I love reading their emails, for their compliments, which really made my day. :) One of them who happened to be a student stated that she will be getting another similar item for herself (she bought one for her mother this time). Another one love the service that we have been giving her. All these really made me feel more confidence to venture more into what we have been doing. I really love you people! :D

Today I started listing our items on eBay Singapore. At the same time, I’ve prepared a stencil for our next Pooch Series T-shirts *hint: it’s going to be a couple T!* ;)

On the side note, with all my hectic working around, Xiao Bi came up with her attitude of not eating her meal again. @.@ She has skipped 2 meals, up to date. I suspected it was because of the mutton in her food. At one point she loved mutton so much that she would jump and jump for it. But now she just refused to touch them. @.@

Oh well. Nvm. Save on the mutton then. :D
